Start here — what this is, and how it was seeded

This is a set of notes about camping and about running a campground, written by the people building CampNearMe. It is not yet a discussion board, and it is important to be straight about that: every thread you see here was written by us. There are no other members, no votes, and no replies.

We seeded it deliberately. A community section with nothing in it tells a visitor the site is abandoned, and a community section full of invented usernames tells them something worse. So the middle path is this — genuinely useful writing, honestly attributed, with the seeding stated on the first page rather than discovered later.

When posting opens, these threads stay and get labelled for what they are. Nothing here will be quietly re-attributed to a fictional camper.

• Every thread is marked Editorial and carries a real author.
• No thread here is a review of a campground, and none ever will be — reviews belong to people who stayed.
• If something here is wrong, tell us and we will change it and say what changed.
