Who runs it
CampNearMe is run by Room 2 Grow at Brandywine Creek LLC, a Michigan limited liability company. The company also runs Room 2 Grow at Brandywine Creek, one of the campgrounds listed here. Every other campground is run by its own operator: your booking is with them, and they are the merchant of record. The Terms of Service and Privacy Policy set out the rest.

A campground booking marketplace. Sites, rates and availability are loaded in full before a campground goes live, so what is shown is what can be booked.

CampNearMe was created by jonathanarvay.com. That is who built the website; the business is Room 2 Grow at Brandywine Creek LLC’s own.
How we gather listings
A campground appears on CampNearMe only after its operator has claimed the listing and its sites, rates and availability have been loaded. Before we invite a campground, we may prepare a draft for its operator from the campground’s own public website. A script we run by hand does the reading, and it identifies itself to every site it visits as:

The address in that string is this page. The script:
- reads the site’s
robots.txtfirst and does not fetch any page that file disallows for it. Where a site publishes norobots.txt, the same limits below apply; - waits two seconds between requests to the same site and reads no more than six of its pages, starting at the homepage and following the site’s own links to pages about rates, sites, amenities and reservations;
- reads the visible text for facts — how many sites, hookups and amperage, a nightly price range, the season, check-in and check-out times, amenities, how much notice a cancellation needs — and keeps a short snippet beside each one so a person can check it was read correctly;
- never copies descriptions or marketing text, never reads reviews from other platforms, and never downloads photographs. It may record the web address of a photograph on the operator’s own server so that the operator can see it on their own private claim page; nothing it records is shown publicly.
Nothing the script gathers is published. It becomes a draft that a person reviews and the operator confirms on their claim page, and any text in the draft is written from those facts, not copied. To ask us not to read your site, or about anything on this page, write to campnearme@jonathanarvay.com.
