Listing in two places without double-booking yourself
The reason a lot of campgrounds refuse a second listing channel is not the fee. It is that two calendars means somebody eventually sells the same site twice, and the person who has to apologise is standing at the gate.
Calendar sync is the ordinary answer. We publish a feed of the bookings made here, and we read the feed your own system publishes, so both sides know what is taken. It is not glamorous and it is the difference between a second channel being useful and being a liability.
Worth knowing what our outbound feed contains: dates and the word Booked. No guest name, email or phone. A calendar file that ends up sitting in a third-party system should not be carrying your guests' identities around.
Sync is not instantaneous — feeds are polled, not pushed. For a busy weekend the gap matters, which is why we treat a stale feed as a reason to be careful rather than a reason to be confident.
- Two-way iCal sync, so your existing system stays the source of truth.
- Our outbound feed carries dates only — never guest details.
- Polling means a delay. Plan tight weekends accordingly.
